Painting in 3D is a music project in the shape of an experimental 3D experience, created by Painting and media artist Paula Reissig. Five sound worlds correspond to five digital landscapes that can be experienced interactively as browser games. Anyone can play the games online while listening to the album. From 2021 to 2023 the 3D games could be played live by people from the audience during the band's concerts, so that they became live visuals projected onto the band. Painting toured Germany and Japan with the project.
Painting in 3D ist ein Musikprojekt in Form eines experimentellen 3D Erlebnisses, entwickelt von Painting und der Medienkünstlerin Paula Reissig. Fünf Klangwelten entsprechen fünf digitalen Räumen, die als Browser Games interaktiv erlebbar sind. Jede:r kann die Spiele online spielen und dazu die Musik des Albums hören. Die 3D Games konnten von 2021 bis 2023 während der Konzerte der Band von Personen aus dem Publikum live gespielt werden und wurden als Live-Visuals auf die Band projiziert. Painting gingen mit dem Projekt in Deutschland und Japan auf Tour.
